Physician burnout is becoming an epidemic. So reports The Star Tribune.
According to a paper published in the December issue of Mayo Clinic Proceedings, 54% of physicians surveyed admitted to having one symptom (or more) of burnout. This is a jump from 2011, when only 46% reported burnout symptoms. In comparison, burnout rates in the general population have stayed at 25% for the past several years.
