Healthcare Billing Consultants, Inc. (HBC), which processes 20,000 claims transactions per month for nearly 80 healthcare providers, is experiencing major business growth and sought a new practice management and analytics solution to streamline workflow and offer more advanced reporting accuracy and information-sharing capabilities than its existing solution.

“We needed to improve efficiency in our workflow and knew that Sage Intergy would be able to help us with that,” said Missy Helsel, office manager for HBC. “With our previous solution, it was extremely time consuming to enter patient data into the system. We had to enter the same information up to six times to establish consistency across our practices. Sage Intergy provides the enterprise-level information-sharing and standardization tools we need to simplify the process for our 40 employees, and produce more timely and accurate reports.”

Sage's support of interoperability standards such as Health Level 7 (HL7) will enable HBC to easily share and receive information from hospitals and medical practices it serves, thereby saving time and increasing accuracy. This capability will enable HBC to streamline processes with existing clients and help the company attract new providers interested in moving to electronic health records (EHR).
