In Use
SpringCharts 9.5 is easy to use and has seamless navigation between modules. The Practice View screen provides an up to the minute overview of all the office activity. It includes Patient Tracker with color coding, appointment schedules and detailed message lists. The Patient Chart screen provides a comprehensive view of all data related to a specific patient, which includes demographics, allergies, previous medical history at a glance. The Office Visit screen allows for rapid and complete documentation of an entire office visit with little or no typing by using the Tap N Go Navigation tools.
Technology employed
There is no special server, hardware or software needed, and this software is compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac. System requirements are a TCP/IP network, a printer, Java runtime environment 1.5 or later, and network access to a computer with a CD-ROM drive. To use the integrated e-mail functions, an Internet connection is required. For the SpringCharts single computer version, 400 MB of available disk space and 1GB of memory is needed. There also has to be a computer running one of the following operating systems: Windows 2000 or above, or Mac OS Tiger 10.4 or above.
Ease of use, configuration, and deployment
SpringCharts is easy to use and installation is simple. The software is installed by using a CD on your network computer or can be used on a single computer. There are many tutorials and materials to help you with configuring and deploying the software, and there are also installation guides on the Installation CD. There are also tutorials and videos available to help you learn how to use the applications within the software.

My Opinion
SpringCharts is an innovative patient charting and data management software. I found it user friendly, and navigation was easy. It includes an array of built-in features to save time when documenting patient encounters. This software has many features and tools including patient tracker, appointment scheduler and automated correspondence that helps save time and effort. It can be used and customized to fit any small to medium size medical practice.
