MediConnect Global’s Advantage RapidRetrieve (www.mediconnect.net) is a state of the art web application that allows the user to access all of the MediConnect’s tools and resources. It is a record retrieval system that is user friendly and has many built in time saving features.

MediConnect was one of the first to develop an application that transfers paper records into a unified electronic format that can be securely delivered over the Internet. The company recently acquired PassPortMD which is innovative software for creating and maintaining personal health records.

 

In Use
The RapidRetrieve application provides the status of your documents in real time. It has dashboards that allow you to see all your record requests and the status of them. The software also delivers any notes documenting the status of your requests.

Once MediConnect receives a hard copy of your requested record it is immediately converted into digital format and alerts you by email that your records are ready to access. The records you requested are available in PDF or TIFF format and text via OCR technology that allows the user to search for specific text within the record.

Technology employed
MediConnect RapidRetrieve is a web application that is accessed using a workstation or notebook with access to the Internet. Since it is accessed through the internet no additional software or hardware is needed. RapidRetrieve can be integrated with most management software solutions.

Ease of use, configuration, and deployment
The RapidRetrieve software is very user friendly. It has built in step by step guides to allow a user to quickly learn the entire application. It is web based so there is no hardware or software to configure or deploy. To access the software the only requirements are access to a computer and the Internet. Every user is assigned an Account Manager who can assist you in training, answer question or resolve issues.

My Opinion
MediConnect’s RapidRetrieve web application is very easy to use and does a multitude of operations. I was impressed by how simple it was to use and the system is set up so you can easily navigate and track your record requests. This system can be used health care providers, insurance companies and consumers. This is very innovative software that I highly recommend.
