Sage Partners With Medical Society of Virginia

Sage Healthcare Division said that it is collaborating with the Medical Society of Virginia to participate in a new program called Health Information Technology Select.

The Medical Society of Virginia’s electronic health record (EHR) vendor program is the latest initiative in its effort to help Virginia’s physicians navigate the maze of health information technology offerings on the market as physicians strive to meet federal reform and meaningful use requirements. The group develops tools and educational opportunities to help physicians identify health information technology strategies when considering EHR solutions.

To participate in the program, Sage passed a stringent vetting process. Sage also agreed to contact guidelines set by the Medical Society of Virginia, including discounted pricing for all medical society members who purchase a system through Medical Society of Virginia HIT Select, a guarantee to maintain federal EHR certification and other meaningful use guidelines, data and source code protections, as well as other items.

The program also includes dedicated Medical Society of Virginia staff support that can assist in any troubleshooting during the selection process, as a point of contact for physicians.
