Sage Healthcare Working to Build Reseller Channel
The Sage Healthcare Division is working to build its reseller channel after rolling out a revamped program about two months ago. The unit had a channel program, according to Betty Otter-Nickerson, the division's president, "But it wasn't very active."
There are about 15 healthcare resellers and Otter-Nickerson hopes to close out the fiscal year ending September 30 with a total of 30. She said that resellers are particularly needed in order to serve the one-to-two physician office because of the extremely large number of such practices.
There are a number of ways organizations can be involved in the program. That includes the opportunity to resell only or to specialize in areas such as training or support. Otter-Nickerson believe that HIPAA 5010 compliance issues will provide a good area for resellers. "There is a perfect opportunity for somebody to build a relationship with a physician," she said.
