Amkai’s contract wins included existing surgery centers from across the country representing a variety of specialties, with several ASC’s from California and Arizona, as well as a major billing service and an existing user of AmkaiCharts™, Amkai’s electronic medical record system, adding the administrative component to its suite. Demonstrating the strength of interest in a comprehensive information management solution, one-third of the contracts included purchase of AmkaiCharts™ in addition to AmkaiOffice.

A contract was also signed with Congress Medical Group of Pasadena, CA, which is opening an ASC in the Fall. Nila Macias, Billing Administrator, said “We evaluated AmkaiOffice along with several alternatives. Our staff felt strongly that Amkai’s solution had the richest features of all the products out there and was easiest to use.”

Another new ASC acquiring AmkaiOffice is Delmarva Surgery Center, Elkton, MD. “We initially thought the practice management system in use in the doctors’ office would be sufficient,” noted Connie Waddell, LPN, Billing Manager. “Once we saw the depth of AmkaiOffice, we knew this would be the superior choice to handle our current and future demands.”
