Danville Polyclinic Selects Sage Intergy EHR to Maximize Practice Workflow
Danville Polyclinic, which services as many as 1,000 patient encounters a day, was looking to employ an electronic health record (EHR) solution that would improve coding accuracy and reportability as well as streamline workflow processes, ultimately enabling the clinic to enhance the quality of care for its patients. Implementation of Sage Intergy EHR throughout the practice will be complete in May 2010.
“We’ve been very impressed with Sage throughout our history using Sage Intergy Practice Management and Sage Practice Analytics,” said Sandy Knauer, director of information systems for Danville Polyclinic. “When we made the decision to roll out an electronic health records system, Sage was the obvious choice; not only from an integration perspective but also for Intergy’s ease-of-use and robust features.”
For Danville Polyclinic, with more than 15 specialties and services, many patients are visiting multiple departments and physicians for their healthcare needs. Sage Intergy EHR enables Danville Polyclinic to customize its system to adapt to existing workflows in departments throughout the clinic. Additionally, Sage Intergy EHR enables clinic staff to access the entire medical record online, in real time from multiple locations.
Sage Intergy EHR’s ability to incorporate clinical guidelines was also important to Danville Polyclinic. “For a physician to be able to go in and see how a prescription may or may not have affected a lab result is critical,” added Knauer.
According to Knauer, with Sage's support of interoperability standards such as Health Level 7 (HL7) Interface System, Danville Polyclinic can easily share with or receive information from hospitals or other medical practices, thereby saving time and enhancing the customer experience.
“Our number one objective is to provide our patients with the best possible care,” said Knauer. “With Sage Intergy EHR we are furthering our commitment of excellence in patient care.”
Sage has been providing ambulatory healthcare systems for almost 30 years, serving more than 80,000 physicians in the United States with practice management, electronic health records, and other services to streamline patient care.
