I have to disagree with you that CCHIT provides any real value in helping doctors to narrow down the field of useful EMR software. This is even more so the case since the EMR certification requirements that came with the HITECH act. There are now 300+ EMR companies that have certified EHR software. Besides the fact that every EHR company is or will be certified shortly, certification doesn't certify that the software is well done. It just says that it can do certain functions. It doesn't say whether you're actually going to enjoy the process they've implemented for doing those functions. John
