Technology Employed
It is recommended that Intel Macs be used for both the workstation computers and the servers. Work stations should have Mac OSX 10.5 (Leopard), Intel/PowerMac G5 or G4, 10 GB of hard drive space and an Internet connection to the server. MySQL Pro and VPN are highly recommended.
There is not a Windows version of MacPractice. However with new technology it is possible for Windows applications to be used on a Mac computer. The company is always developing bridges to Windows-based applications from MacPractice for their clients.

The MacPractice EMR is a comprehensive system that is a single-vendor, integrated solution which makes it easier to create and update a patient’s medical records. I like the design and layout of the software. It is user-friendly and has many built-in tools and features to be able to quickly input patient data. This is the perfect solution for medical physicians who prefer to use Mac computers and software for their practice.
