Allscripts offers an on-demand print center with one-click prescription printing and doctors can print up to four prescriptions at once on a single sheet. The program lets doctors upload patient information from a file or import it from any Allscripts PM.
Allscripts ePrescribe Deluxe also offers a Medicare incentive snapshot that details the estimated MIPPA ePrescribing incentives for the practice. Allscripts offers training and integration with free webinars and tutorials, as well as an option to participate in live training sessions.
For users of mobile devices, Allscripts offers the ePrescribe Deluxe app. With it, doctors have the capability to ePrescribe directly from their iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. The app is free to download, but an Allscripts ePrescribe Deluxe account is required for use. The app is compatible with Allscripts ePrescribe only.
The app offers all the same great features as the web-based program and it automatically integrates with ePrescribe Deluxe desktop version. With the app, doctors can search for patients by demographics and view patient summaries. It allows doctors to prescribe from a favorites list or the patient history.
The app has access to the entire MediSpan drug database and physicians can view formulary alternatives with alternative medications preferred by a patient’s formulary. With Allscripts, ePrescribe doctors will receive DUR warnings of possible undesirable or unsafe situations such as duplicate therapy and alcohol and food interactions. The app lets doctors search a national directory of mail order and retail pharmacies. The app also lets doctors send prescriptions to retail or mail order pharmacies.
