Two Monitors Are Better Than One

If you want to create efficiency among your administrative staff, consider installing dual monitors. Also referred to as multi monitors or dual displays, the use of two monitors is considered one of the best ways to increase productivity.
The truth of the matter is, you can never have enough screen space and screen space is exactly what you get with a dual setup. Essentially, dual monitors allow the user to increase their desktop space while creating a wider area of vision.

Dual monitors come in handy for individuals who find themselves using two or more computer programs at the same time. For example, a receptionist may need instant access to the appointment calendar and electronic medical charts at the same time. A dual monitor setup allows for both programs to be viewed simultaneously.

Dual monitors share a hard drive, mouse and keyboard. Some users take the concept a step further by setting up three and four monitors. With the appropriate equipment, the possibilities are endless.

Both Mac and PC users can set up dual monitors. Most new computers support multiple monitors without the need for additional hardware. For those that don't, the purchase of some simple hardware, and a secondary monitor, are all that is required. Laptops can be set up to support dual monitors as well.

Overall, investing in a second or third monitor is a great way to boost anyone's output. The concept is growing in popularity for both home and work-based offices.
