The updated app still offers all previous AdvancedMD features, including patient history, access to patient charts and messaging, but now includes the ability to manage charge captures and enter charge slips.
Entering charge slips is done via a summary menu that lets you select modifiers and procedure codes. In conjunction with the charge capture, the app includes a review bin. The review bin contains outstanding charges that need to be completed, SOAP notes for editing or review and lab notes that require a signature.
Also new is the “add patient” feature. The feature lets doctors enter a patient’s information and use the iPad camera to take a photo of the patient and include it a patient’s file.
Along with the new additions, the app lets doctors access patient charts, make SOAP notes, review previous notes, prescription histories and allergy lists. It also shows electronic lab results.
Doctors can use the app to stay in contact with the office via the secure messaging feature. The app lets doctors read interoffice messages and any messages sent by patients through ADP’s AdvancedMD patient portal.
Physicians can view their schedule, the entire practice’s schedule or a specific doctor’s schedule from the iPad. Any changes made by the front office appear on the apps schedule.
Also, any changes made with the iPad application are integrated with the office’s ADP AdvancedMD application.
ADP AdvancedMD iPad App requires iOS 5.0 or later operating system. ADP AdvancedMD is downloadable from the app store.
