Playing Wii Improves Surgeon Skills: Study

Regularly playing games on a Nintendo Wii can help laparoscopic surgeons improve their performance, according to new research conducted by Sapienza University in Rome.

So reports NBC News.

The study, conducted with 42 test subjects, asked a portion of the test group to play Wii games for 60 minutes a day, five days a week, for four weeks. The other subjects played no video games.

The subjects who played the video games showed significant improvement in surgery skills versus those who didn’t play the video games.
