Sponsors Hope Telemedicine Bill Passes Congress
The Fostering Independence Through Technology Act, which seeks to increase telemedicine access to remote and underserved parts of the country, has been re-introduced to the Senate for the fifth time, reports Healthcare IT News.
Sponsors hope the current atmosphere – one more accepting of healthcare technology – means the Bill will pass this time. The Bill would set up incentives for telemedicine programs much like the current incentives for electronic health records.
