New WiFi standards could be instrumental in driving a new wave of hospital connectivity, reports eWeek.

The standards, 802.11ac and 802.11ad, will dramatically increase the speed and capability of WiFi-capable devices, such as iPhones. In a healthcare setting, this means doctors can quickly look up electronic health record information.
