Anesthesiologists Request Meaningful Use Exemptions
The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) is requesting that the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT maintains the hardship exemption for anesthesiologists, reports FierceEMR.
The ASA wants the exemption to stretch beyond Stage 2 of the Meaningful Use program. They are also requesting an exemption for anesthesiologists from some of the Stage 2 attestation criteria.
