App to Help Patients Navigate Kids Hospital

Fit4KidsCare is a new iPhone app from the Miami Children's Hospital. The app uses Wi-Fi triangulation to help patients and their families find their way around the medical center, reports Computerworld.

When the app is in use, the display shows the users a dot on a two-dimensional map of the hospital. The app even detects vertical distance for when a person is on an elevator. The hospital believes it will add another layer of customer service for its visitors.
