Meaningful Use Rolls On

The National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (NCHIT) announced that the government shutdown wouldn’t affect Meaningful Use payments. So reports Medpage Today.

October 3 marked the last day physicians and other eligible professionals could begin the attestation process to qualify for Stage 1 bonus payments under Meaningful Use in 2013. According to the NCHIT, the shut-down will not prevent the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid from processing the Meaningful Use payments.
