Doc Group Aims to Stop Gun-Related Injuries

The American College of Physicians (ACP) has released recommendations to decrease the number of gun related deaths. So reports Healthline.

Calling gun violence a public health threat, The ACP has published a policy paper in the Annal of Internal Medicine that contains nine strategies for reducing firearm related injuries.

The recommendations include physicians playing a role in gun safety education, universal criminal background checks prior to purchase of a firearm, and bans on automatic and semi-automatic guns.
