Meaningful Use Doesn't Improve Quality of Care: Study

Meaningful use does not increase the quality of care. So reports Fierce EMR.

The findings are part of a study appearing in the JAMA Internal Medicine. The study conducted in 2012 at Brigham and Women's Hospital covered a 90 day period and measured whether there were quality improvements for five chronic diseases.

All the doctors involved in the study used the same advanced EHR and were "Meaningful Users".
