AMA Requests Changes to Meaningful Use

The American Medical Association(AMA) has drafted a letter to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid requesting modifications to Meaningful Use. So reports Fierce EMR.

The letter, written by James Madara, Executive VP and CEO, details changes the AMA feels would make Meaningful Use more approachable for physicians. Some of the changes requested include changing the pass rate to 75% and allowing physicians who reach 50% of Meaningful Use to avoid penalties.
