Doctors Working Fewer Hours: Study

A survey performed by Merritt Hawkins finds that doctors worked 6% fewer hours in 2012 than they did in 2008. So reports Family Practice News.

The decline in hours translates into a loss of 46,000 doctors from the workforce. A majority of the decline is attributed to doctors choosing to leave private practice and become employees of a healthcare organization.
