CMS Payment Site Worries Doctors

The recent unveiling of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid's new payment database has medical professionals concerned the information will confuse patients. So reports WebMD.

The payment website is the result of the healthcare law's Sunshine Act, which requires drug and device manufacturers to report all payments they make to doctors.

The database contains details of more than $3 million worth of payments to more than 500,000 doctors.

Doctors are concerned that patients could take the payment information out of context.
