EHR Audits to Increase in 2015

The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) intends to increase the number of audits performed on electronic health records. So reports Healthcare IT News.

To prepare for the upcoming audits, the OIG requested a $400 million budget for 2015. Plus, it plans on adding 284 additional full-time employees. Along with auditing electronic health records, it will examine IT security and compliance.
