Senate Proposal Would Change Health Tech Oversight

There is another attempt to change health technology regulation. So reports Modern Healthcare.

Incoming Senate Finance committee leader Orrin Hatch is proposing new legislation that would remove electronic medical records from Food and Drug Administration (FDA) oversight. The MEDTECH Act would change the definition of Electronic Medical Records and Clinical Decision Support technology exempting them from review by the FDA.
