Medical Practice Size Remains Fixed, Study Finds

The size of medical practices hasn’t changed in the past two years. So reports Med Page Today.

This finding comes from a study done by the American Medical Association, which also found that 60% of respondents worked in a practice with 10 or fewer physicians. Additionally, 57% of the survey participants were part of a physician-owned practice, a drop from the 60% seen during the 2012 survey. The finding reinforces recent reports that doctors are flocking to corporate- or hospital-run practices.
