Medical Practices Scramble to Fix Doctor Shortage

Wisconsin is facing a doctor shortage, So reports News8000.

The latest projections show that by 2030 the state could have a shortage of up to 4,000 doctors. Attempts to alleviate the situation include shifting more duties to Physician Assistants. In addition, medical staffs are trying to shift lower level care away from the clinics by encouraging patients to use online doctor visits, express clinics and even in some cases phone consultations.
