Interoperability Remains Elusive

A new survey by Transcend Insights finds that patients' expectations regarding the portability of their healthcare information far outweighs current capabilities. So reports Healthcare IT News.

Of those surveyed, 97%believe that any doctor at any medical facility should be able to access the patient’s full medical history. In contrast, only 25% of hospitals have achieved this type of true interoperability.
