Doctors Feel Overtreatment a Problem

Doctors feel that overtratment is prevalent in healthcare, according to a survey of more than 2,000 physicians from PLOS One. So reports Becker's Hospital Review.

Doctors feel that 20% of all healthcare is unnecessary, but prescriptions and tests are the areas where doctors feel there is the most overtreatment, according to the survey. The findings show that physicians feel that 22% of prescriptions and 24% of the tests are unnecessary.
