Disease Preventionists Unaware of HIEs
A report published in the American Journal of Infection Control shows that many hospital-based infection preventionists were unaware of whether their organizations participated in a health information exchange, reports Fierce EMR.
This is despite the fact that previous research shows a health information exchange can improve reporting of infections to local and state agencies.
