Email Containing Malware Causes Massive Data Breach

Patients of the University of Washington’s Harborview Medical Center and the Washington Medical Center recently received notification of a data breach. So reports Healthcare IT News.

The breach occurred in October, but patients were first notified in November. Personal data from about 90,000 patients was compromised when a UW worker opened an email that contained malware.
