Bill Would Make Telehealth Consent Easier in California

California Governor Jerry Brown recently made it easier for California patients to access telehealth services. So reports EHR Intelligence.

Bill AB 809 streamlines the telehealth consent process. Currently, the law requires document consent for each time a patient receives a telehealth consult. The new bill lets patients give one consent at the initial consult that is good for any ensuing telehealth consult.
