VA Adjusts Payscale to Encourage Doctors to Apply

In order to address the backlog of veterans who need care, the Veterans Administration wants to hire an additional 28,000 healthcare providers. So reports the Boston Globe.

To attract applicants the VA is proposing raising annual pay for doctors and dentists to $35,000, from $20,000. The payscale has not been adjusted since 2009.
