World Health Organization Seeks to Recover from Ebola

The World Health Organization (WHO) is holding its 68th World Health Assembly and the assembly will decide the fate of the organization. So reports NPR.

The WHO is suffering from a damaged reputation after its response to the Ebola outbreak. It is no longer seen as the world’s authority in healthcare. In order to improve, it is seeking additional funding of $100 million dollars to create a medical “SWAT” team of sorts that can respond to global medical emergencies.
