Coordination of Care Lacking Despite Health IT: Survey

A new report published in the Annals of Family Medicine finds coordination of care lacking despite use of Health IT. So reports Healthcare IT News.

While 78% of respondents to a recent survey consider hospital discharge notices very important information, just 38% use health IT to get that information.

The survey also revealed that the most frequent item created by health IT is clinical summaries for patients. However, only 47% of the survey respondents found this task important.
