ONC Holding Series of Contests for New EHR Apps

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) wants to make electronic health records more user friendly. So reports EHR Intelligence.

To spur app development, the ONC is holding three contests with total cash prizes of $625,000 to be split among the three winners. The ONC is looking for a patient-facing app that will help patients manage their information.

The ONC also wants developers to create an app to make EHRs more user friendly.
