NY Gets Tough on Prescriptions

New York is set to enact the toughest paperless prescribing requirements in the United States. So reports the Associated Press.

In an effort to reduce prescription painkiller abuse, along with errors from misread written prescriptions, New York will now require physicians to use e-prescribing for all prescriptions (there are a few exceptions). Failure to use the electronic prescriptions will result in fines, loss of license or even jail.
