Tech Tips: MedScribe Can Be Used for Clinical Documentat​ion

Med-Scribe is more than just a transcription service. It is a U.S.-based clinical documentation platform. Not only can you use Med-Scribe to transcribe your notes, but also Med-Scribe can be set up work with your existing electronic health record system allowing your transcription to integrate seamlessly into the patient's record.

Since Med-Scribe's platform is web-based, users can monitor, listen, and route dictated audio files in their queue. The platform lets users monitor their dictated/transcribe jobs in real time. Users can also do search reports on-demand and edit reports.

All completed documents are sent for user approval. Once a document is approved, it's available for printing, faxing, or can be integrated directly into a patient's record as either a narrative report or as a marked up, sophisticated structured document.

All management reports are customizable for turnaround time, quality, billing, e-sign management, auto-fax logs, and reconciliation.

With Med-Scribe, you can use a variety of methods to capture your dictation, including phone, PC, Digital Voice Recorders iPhone & Android devices.

Currently, Med-Scribe interfaces with EPIC Meditech (both client and hosted) Siemens McKesson, Cerner, HMS, and CPSI.

In addition to the Med-Scribe online platform, they offer mobile solutions for Apple iOS and Android mobile devices. As long as a users has access to wifi or a cellular data connection, he or she can create documentation using Med-Scribe mobile. Users can also use the mobile version to access schedules, dictation, document templates, and patients' transcription history. Documentation created on the mobile device can be reviewed, edited, and electronically signed.

Med-Scribe doesn't have start-up or set-up fees and it doesn't require a long-term agreement. Included with the startup package is all installation and training costs, ongoing tech support and software upgrades.
