Half of California Physicians Embrace EHRs: Study

Missouri is setting an aggressive timeline for completion of the state’s health information exchange (HIE), according to a report in Government Health IT. The state is looking to have a direct messaging query service in place by January of 2012.

An advisory panel to the Health IT Policy Committee proposed several major points for Stage 2 of Meaningful Use. The panel recommends that patients become more active participants in their healthcare, Healthcare IT News reports. The panel also wants to see more health information exchanged between providers.
