Guide to the Doctor Rating Sites

Cindy: These sites are as relevant as they ever were - even more so. This will not cease to be the case until they stop coming up first in search engine results pages. I've used these sites successfully in my practice to get referrals and plenty of other side benefits. I've created a Quick Start Guide to the Doctor Rating Sites which can be downloaded for free at my website. It's a great resource for any doctor ready to use these sites to their advantage! Check it out. Here's the link again: http://bit.ly/rprsg-t Thanks for the post. CNH http://www.reachpatients.com Read more...

Nextgen EMR

I have used Nextgen for over 5 years and as soon as my contract with them was complete, I immediately switched to an alternative EMR. Their customer support is terrible and every additional feature or system is available only for significant additional cost. I would strongly recommend not using Nextgen. They don't offer appropriate training and additional training comes at additional cost. Read more...

NextGen EPM

Nightmare...Lost Data, No support. Always told that it's fixed in the upgrade. Few $grand more. Already bought for $80,000.00. Everything costs MORE.. Questionable salesmen. Missing visits. ERA files rejected "visits not found". Secondary claims (NextGen generated) reports - "original claim not found" Yet our clearing house has the submission report. Demographics crossing into other patients and pulling different data. $20,000.00 this year alone IT vendor management with a Nextgen certified company.. List goes on and on and on. Niether NextGen or Microsoft will accept blame for Database loss issues. A wolf in sheeps clothing.. Need help!!! Read more...

Reducing paper in a medical practice

It is interesting to read about eCastSoftware. We are a 3 Physician practice and have been using a fax management solution from TruScripts to receive faxes and archive online. It's all paperless, no printing and we can reply by fax if needed. Read more...

I completely disagree

Using this software has been a nightmare. Not only does data disappear, but it doesn't autopost ERAs correctly, which means I'm having to post each and every payment manually. I've had to hire extra help because of the tremendous increase in data entry, which means my bottom line is worse after going with this $50/mo software. I should have known I would get what I paid for. Worst of all, there is NO secondary billing capability. This is a deal-breaker considering my clients are not eligible for paper billing waivers from Medicare. My fault for not thinking to ask, but who would think to ask about 1992 technology in 2010? My first date of service on this system was 01/01/2011 and my last will be 05/31/2011. Stay FAR away from this software. Read more...

NextGen vs. eClinicalWorks

What happened to your review of NextGen? I'm interested in what people who have used AllScripts, eCW and NextGen would have to say about the three. Read more...

Wow

And I thought I was just disgruntled about having to support NextGen. Yeah, under the hood it's shoddy as all hell, the "integrated" EHR and EPM were shoehorned together and the database and GUI is a sloppy mess, and the sales guys are slick pitchmen that hardly understand the product they're pushing. It gives me heartburn and anxiety and consumes vast amounts of everybody's time babysitting. Seems like it was built to create jobs, which ain't a bad thing unless you work in any normal company that doesn't want to hire an entire team devoted to supporting one system. Getting ready to go on the EHR soon. Yay! Read more...
