Texas Close to Passing Patient Privacy Bill

Texas is close enacting a bill to further protect patient privacy, reports the Texas Tribune. The bill, which is currently awaiting vote in the House, prevents the sale of personal health information without the person’s consent. It also includes a process to notify patients when their records are transferred electronically.
